Why am I so hungry?

So I'm a dope because it took me three weeks to figure out (or come to terms) that I'm PREGNANT!! woohoo pretty crazy! Four kids? That makes me feel OLD! This baby will be due the first week of February and what do you know-that just happens to be when I turn the big 3-0! I wasn't expecting to even be pregnant when that rolled around next year! What can I say other than even the most reliable forms of BC DO NOT work :) Although we were suprised, we are really excited to add a fourth to our adorable kids. Really, we couldn't feel any more blessed for these sweet little cuties we have so far. The kids will love having a baby around, they really are all completely obsessed with babies right now.
So the reason I didn't figure it out until now was that 3 weeks ago, I got really sick around the time of my period and took 2 pregnancy tests within a couple of days that were both negative. Then the sickness went away and I haven't really thought twice since then. I thought something else was wrong with me since I hadn't started yet and that maybe the hunger and weakness in the morning was all something else. I guess not. I am so grateful to be feeling good right now (at 8 weeks) because all my other 1st trimesters were miserable! I guess Kate is old enough to make all of this a little easier. David was 9 months old when I got pregnant with Kate, so I think I can handle this :) I wanted to post this picture of Saguaro Lake with the YM/YW last week. I had some of me, but I looked kind of scary with running makeup and wind blown hair. I probably wouldn't have worn myself out tubing and attempting to knee board if I knew I was pregnant. I have been 2nd counselor in the YW for a year and a half and I have loved EVERY minute of it! It's been a blessing in my life to be with these beehives- they are absolutely fun, cute, and so GOOD. I couldn' t have asked for a better group. It's like reliving my YW years all over again, but it's even funner as a leader. The activities are always a blast and I have loved serving with my other leaders. It has also been fun getting to know the older YW too. Last summer, we went on a lake trip and I went to camp and it was way too fun. It was amazing to be back up at Camp LoMia, where I spent 6 summers at. Not much has changed but maybe the painted cabins and MUCH better beds and mattresses.

This will be #14 for the Olsons and #24 for my parents. My parents have a tradition of assigining these logs in their backyard to every grandkid. They put a plaque with their names and birthdate on it(twice the kids now).

1. My biggest weakness is ice cream.

3. I have 5 brothers and 1 sister, I’m fifth after four brothers.
4. If I was a boy, my name would be Frank, really (picked out by my brothers).
5. I think I would’ve made a perfect Frank.
6. I’m glad I’m a girl though.
7. I love my kids and being a mom-the best job ever!
8. I love love love hanging out with them and Jay more than anything.
9. My favorite place to eat in the whole world is Rubios.
10. I love Mexican food.

12. every couple years I take a bite of one just to see, and I always realize that they are still nasty.
13. The worst pain I’ve ever felt was when I got my tonsils out at 20.

28. I saw Mrs. Rawlings face when I handed it to her and I’ve always wondered why she never called me on it.

31. I was in the jump rope club in 6th grade.
32. I’ve slept at Larry Wilcox’s house in L.A. before, and swam in his pool (while he was there).

34. While we’re on the subject, I also rode on the same roller coaster as Rudy Huxtable once. She was only two cars in front of me.

Random things we love

Lately I've had this unonscious mental list of "products" or things (mostly mom-related) that have me saying, "oooh...I love this stuff" or, "what would I do without this?". Anyways I thought it would be fun to put some down. The list could go on and on, but this is just the really condensed version of very random things (not really in order of importance):

1. double strollers - seriously I wouldn't go ANYWHERE without mine.

2. Mr. Clean magic eraser - has saved me many times. What else could get out crayon or permanent marker so easily?

Here is what it amazingly didn't save - our pantry door from black dry erase marker.

3. Get magic in a bottle with Mr. Clean Multi-Surfaces Liquid Cleaners - My little crush on Mr. Clean has led me to my favorite smell ever...his lavender scented cleaner! I am bugged by a smelly house (believe me we have strange smells sometimes) and this always knocks those smells out.

4. BOUNTY paper towels - Tried others and they are even pointless to buy because they just fall apart and you can't even reuse them.

5. Huggies - these things can hold back the Colorado.

6. Walmart - not really a product but my one stop shop where I get them all cheap.

7. High chair that attaches to a kitchen chair - takes up no space compared to the traditional high chair.

8. This handy little broom and pan set - used a lot throughout my day.

9. Johnson's baby wash - no tears and they all smell so good!

10. Radio Flyer steering/pushing trike - Kate loves this free ride and it's so easy for us to steer!

11. Any quiet show - like Blues Clues. I appreciate this because I start to get tired of the shows where the characters are annoying and constantly talking soooo loud :D12. Children's Tylenol multi symptom cold - absolutely got us through this past winter and my kids love the grape flavor.

13. Silky baby blankets - Kate can't live without her pink one.

14. Fruit snacks - who am I fooling they're more like candy but the kids love them. They turn their poop weird colors sometimes though...

15. Llama Llama Red Pajama - my kids favorite book before bed.

16. PLAYTEX sippy cups - can't live without and they DON'T leak!

17. Stouffer's lasagne - easy and everybody will eat it.

18. Otter pops - we've already gone through a handful of boxes and it's barely summer! Jay loves these as much as the kids. I love that I can enjoy the very same Alexander the Grape flavor that I did decades ago. And who doesn't love to roll up the empty plastic and pretend they're noise makers?
