I love everything about newborns-- extremely skinny legs, long fingers, alien-like arms, sleepy little eyes, tiny toes, skin that is so soft I can barely feel it, body peach fuzz, smell of his breath, unfamiliar cries that I need to start listening for, onesies that look so tiny but end up being huge, the size and smell of the newborn size Pampers swaddler diapers, the occasional smile I get while he's dreaming, the occasional laugh I get while he's dreaming, soft baby blankets, how chubby his cheeks look when he's wearing a baby hat, his burps, the effort it takes when he fills his diaper, the way he curls up into a tiny tiny ball onto my chest, soft hair that's just been washed, and of course showing him off! And huge news -- has a dimple on his left cheek! (face that is) None of my other kids have dimples, so I am completely excited about this! Blake has easily made his way into our hearts and we feel so blessed and happy having him come into our family.
